Privacy Policy
What SHOWBLiZ is
SHOWBLiZ is a free arts discovery platform for live theater and performing arts in Miami and South Florida. We are based in Miami. Using SHOWBLiZ is free and always will be — we don't charge for listings, don't sell tickets, and don't charge users.
What we collect
We collect as little as possible:
- Email address — only if you create an account. We use it to send you a magic login link. That's it. No marketing email without your explicit opt-in.
- Usage analytics — we use PostHog to understand how people use the site (page views, clicks, device type). PostHog does not use persistent cross-site identifiers. There is no ad-network tracking.
- Server logs — Cloudflare, our hosting provider, logs IP addresses, browser types, and request timestamps as a standard part of operating any web service. Cloudflare retains these for 7 days.
- Auth session — if you're signed in, a session cookie is set by Supabase (our auth provider). It's httpOnly, secure, and first-party only. It expires when you log out or after an inactivity period.
What we don't collect
We never collect payment information (SHOWBLiZ is free), your real name, phone number, precise location, or any social-graph data. We have no ad network integrations. We do not track you across other websites.
How we use it
The data we have is used only to:
- Run the SHOWBLiZ service (auth, saved shows, personalization)
- Send magic-link login emails when you request them
- Understand which features are useful and which are broken
We don't use your data for advertising, profiling, or selling to third parties.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your data. We share it only with the infrastructure vendors required to run the site:
- Supabase — database and authentication. Their privacy policy.
- PostHog — product analytics. Their privacy policy.
- Cloudflare — hosting and CDN. Their privacy policy.
Each vendor is bound by their own privacy policy and applicable data protection law.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your personal data or ask us to delete your account at any time — email hello@showbliz.com and we'll handle it within 30 days.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information we have collected, the right to delete it, and the right to opt out of its sale. We don't sell personal information. To exercise your rights, email hello@showbliz.com.
Cookies
We set one cookie: a secure, httpOnly session cookie so you stay logged in. We don't use advertising cookies, third-party tracking cookies, or analytics cookies that persist across sessions.
Changes to this policy
If we make meaningful changes we'll update the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of SHOWBLiZ after a change means you accept the updated policy.
